In the Credit Hours System, the academic year is split into two main semesters – the fall semester and the spring semester, each lasting 15 weeks, excluding the exam period with an option to have a summer semester, spanning eight academic weeks, with regulations set in place.
Within colleges, study plans outline elective and mandatory courses at both the college and specialization levels, along with course content.
Upon meeting graduation requirements and receiving recommendations from department and college councils, along with approval from the university council, students are awarded bachelor’s degrees, subject to the university council’s conditions and Ministry of Higher Education regulations.
